After my first drinks book Cask Strength I wanted to come up with another idea for a book about drinks. I’d recently been reading a book about illicit stills in Scotland, and thought that a book about all the crimes associated with the drinks business would be fun to research and write.
Fortunately my agent agreed, and after I’d written a detailed proposal, she found a publisher for me: Prometheus Books. Several months of fun research and writing later, I delivered the book and it was published in November 2024. Here’s the Table of Contents to give you an idea of what’s in the book:
